Budget

Hostel Gaia Porto - A perfect location with views over the city and just moments away from the Douro River. Both dorm and private rooms are available, but the treat is the panoramic view from the roof terrace across the river and the old city. Well worth staying just for the view. website

Guest House Douro -  Stay with Carmen and Joao at this quaint old building just beside the river. Modern rooms inside are compact but comfortable with traditional windows looking out over the city. Enjoy breakfast served on white table cloths and lean out of the window to see the many boats on the river. A tranquil spot even in our quiet city this is one to be remembered. website
